Travelling abroad nowadays...

Was it so bad before? Was it so hard? Let me explain our big WE in NYC.

We flew on the 09/23 from France to Madrid (to NYC). French strike, but our plane flew with almost no delay (let's say 2 hours... but who cares when you have a 4h to wait). Then Madrid to NYC, no problem, a cab to our hotel close to Central Park and this is ok, except that the big thing, you know, the UN (big in name...) they closed so many roads that we almost drove through Harlem to go to the 56st st...

We came back today (and yesterday, depending on where you read this), and we were sure that there was no strike in France (allelouia). But the NYC to Madrid is delayed for 2h, why? A strike in Spain... But that time our waiting time in Madrid was 2h30... So in Madrid we had to run all the long way to go from international hub to european one. Less than 10 minutes after we entered the plane, it took off. Again big luck, strike and still we had the plane. And I think that our litlle candle in St Patrick in NYC was a good idea, because our luggages were in Paris....
So, everything is ok? Yes, a LOT of luck, but a lot of stress...

Tomorrow we are leaving to Lozère but no strike is scheduled, at least not during our trips, ony while we will be there, so not a problem...

Please wish us luck, who knows perhaps that the Lozerians mountains will collapse or the center of France will be invaded by mad mens with a bad geography book or what the end of the world will be before 2012?? ....
